We’re coming towards the end of the year, so we thought it may be time to re-visit the topic of virtualisation to understand how IT directors’ thoughts are progressing around the issue. We first tested opinions in a workshop last February and found most companies either “identifying challenges and opportunities” or “implementing only tactically”. In short, they were watching and waiting. So, has anything changed and if so why?
Whether it’s pressure from the Board to ‘go green’ or more recently, pressure to cut costs due to the economic downturn, certainly lots has happened over the past year that could have had progressed plans or altered corporate approaches.
Amongst the Forum’s members we’ve witnessed some companies taking virtualisation out of the test environment and others using the technology as a way to save both energy and space costs.
So where how does your company’s progression toward virtualisation compare to other corporate users? Find out more about how you can attend this event here.
