  1. Entry is open to all Corporate IT Forum subscribers and any other organization with a turnover or equivalent in excess of £300m other than IT vendors or consultants. Organizations who are outsourced may enter, provided the project was delivered by a team solely dedicated to them.
  2. In order to qualify projects must have gone "live" in production since August 1st 2007 onwards. Where projects claim ROI, profitability and service availability improvements; please provide evidence and its source. If this information is not yet available demonstrate the governance processes which have been put into place to collect it.
  3. Multiple projects may be submitted by any one qualifying organisation.
  4. A single project may be entered for up to two award categories. Projects entered for more than one award must have separate entry submission forms because judging criteria for different categories will vary.
  5. A separate Category has been added in 2008 for public sector organisation that may have entirely separate criteria by which the success of a project is gauged. Commercial organisations will be ineligible to enter this category.
  6. Only submissions using the standard entry form and maximum word count in each section will be allowed. Additional supporting documentation will not be allowed unless specifically requested by the judges.
  7. Intention to submit a project must be registered through the Real IT Awards website (www.tif.co.uk/awards/) by 31st July 2008.
  8. All entries must be supported by full contact details for a nominated representative of the organisation and to support their nomination by supplying any additional information as requested during the judging process and if required to enable the Judging Panel to discuss entries prior to Short list selection
  9. The final date for submissions is fixed; all projects have to be received by Friday 19th September 2008. (No latitude will be given under any circumstances).
  10. The judges, all of them senior IT practitioners from member organisations of The Corporate IT Forum, will use their discretion when considering applications. The judges’ decision is final.
  11. Judges are expected to declare an interest in any company nominated for an award, or entering an award. The judging panel will decide if a conflict of interest is sufficient to exempt a judge from discussing or voting on that award. Another member of the judging panel will replace an exempt judge when considering an entry where a conflict of interest may exist.
  12. There will be 6 Category Winners and an additional number of discretionary awards which will be selected from entries across any of the 6 Categories. An overall winner for IT Project of 2008 will be awarded to one of the category winners.
  13. The nominated company will be expected in the event that it is short listed, to attend or have a representative attend the Awards ceremony on Thursday 27th November 2008 at The Cumberland Hotel, Marble Arch, London.
  14. All entries will be considered in confidence. However, all submissions should be prepared to be featured in published material outlining the main features and benefits of the project, subject to your editorial approval The winning submissions will also feature in a series of presentations (normally through electronic workshops) that will share best practice and experience gained with Forum members.
