Reason for the AwardsDelivering value to the business or public sector organisation has always been central to the aims of IT departments perhaps never more so than in the current economic climate. This award recognises the achievements of IT projects that have delivered Business Value in these challenging times. Award CriteriaThe judges will be looking for: - The submission which demonstrates an outstanding improvement in Business Value through one or a combination of:
- delivery of IT projects with a demonstrable full realisation of proposed benefits and/or a high return on investment
- delivery of IT projects which greatly improve Business Value through innovation, service delivery, functionality or agility
Attention will be given to the project in the context of the organisation’s size, the overall improvement in Business value delivered and how it was achieved, with particular emphasis on longer term sustainable change. Award InformationNote maximum word count - Describe the vision and objectives for the project. (200 words)
- Describe the non financial improvements in value delivered by the project. (500 words)
- Describe the financial improvements delivered by the project including the ROI achieved, plus supporting commentary. (500 words)
- Describe any value delivery related processes that were implemented during the project and their effect. (750 words)
- Describe how sustainable the IT value improvements made and / or process improvements made will be and any further techniques employed to promote this. (750 words)
- Describe the business perception of Business Value delivery by IT before and after the project (with attributed quotes where possible). (200 words)
